Pacer Renuka Singh Thakur and all-rounder Deepti Sharma have been included in India’s playing eleven as skipper Harmanpreet Kaur chose to bowl first against Sri Lanka in the third T20I. India, leading 2-0 in the series, aims to secure a series win with a victory in this match. Renuka and Deepti replace Sneh Rana and Arundhati Reddy, who are rested for this game.

Harmanpreet mentioned that considering the conditions and potential dew, bringing in Renuka for a more aggressive powerplay approach was the team’s strategy. Sri Lanka’s captain, Chamari Athapaththu, announced three changes in their playing eleven, emphasizing the importance of allowing young players to showcase their skills in preparation for the upcoming World Cup.

India’s playing XI includes Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Harmanpreet Kaur, Richa Ghosh, Deepti Sharma, Amanjot Kaur, Vaishnavi Sharma, Kranti Gaud, Renuka Singh Thakur, and Sree Charani. Sri Lanka’s lineup features Chamari Athapaththu, Hasini Perera, Harshitha Samarawickrama, Kavisha Dilhari, Nilakshika Silva, Imesha Dulani, Kaushani Nuthyangana, Malsha Shehani, Inoka Ranaweera, Malki Madara, and Nimesha Madushani.
