He commended the growth of WPL over the last three years, noting the increasing attendance in stadiums and the positive impact on player confidence.
Muzumdar expressed satisfaction in witnessing the growth of athletes under his coaching, stating that being involved in their development brings him immense joy. He emphasized the gratification of seeing the results of his efforts in nurturing athletes and their progress over time. As the head coach since October 2023, Muzumdar acknowledged the importance of investing time and energy in players’ growth for long-term success.
Drawing a comparison between playing and coaching, Muzumdar reflected on the challenges of being a coach, noting the shift in control from the field to the sidelines. He mentioned the difference in managing situations as a player, where control is more direct, compared to the role of a coach, where preparation, planning, and support become crucial. Despite the challenges, Muzumdar highlighted the importance of effective coaching strategies and support for players’ success.
