The 77th Republic Day parade featured a stunning fly-past displaying formations like Varuna, Vajraang, Arjan, and Vijay, showcasing the Indian Air Force’s strength. Various frontline aircraft, including Rafale, Su-30, P-8i, MiG-29, and Apache helicopters, participated in the parade. A total of 29 aircraft, comprising fighter jets, transport aircraft, and helicopters, flew in synchronized formations over the ceremonial boulevard.
The fly-past included aircraft like Rafale, Su-30 MKI, MiG-29, Jaguar fighter jets, as well as strategic transport assets such as C-130 and C-295. Notably, the display also featured the Indian Navy’s P-8i maritime patrol aircraft, emphasizing the coordinated efforts among the armed forces. Different formations like Varuna, Arjan, and Vajraang showcased precision flying techniques and strategic capabilities.
The Vajraang formation, performed by six Rafale fighter jets, highlighted air dominance and strategic strike capabilities. The Vijay formation, a major highlight of the event, impressed spectators with a Rafale aircraft executing a Vertical Charlie manoeuvre. The parade also saw the display of jointness and operational readiness with helicopters carrying flags of the Indian Army and Indian Air Force flying in formation.
