The Indian Army and senior railway officials met in Guwahati to enhance coordination and preparedness for national contingencies. The high-level scenario-planning exercise, held under 101 Area and Headquarters Eastern Command, aimed to optimize resources and align operational mechanisms for a rapid response during crises in the eastern sector. Participants discussed various scenarios to boost operational readiness and emphasized developing dual-use infrastructure for improved logistics and cost savings.

The conference brought together officials from the Indian Army and Northeast Frontier Railway to enhance coordination and preparedness for national contingencies. The exercise focused on leveraging mutual strengths and resources to ensure a coordinated response during crises, especially in the strategically sensitive eastern sector. Senior officers actively participated in discussions to improve inter-agency synergy and identify key areas for collaboration and streamlined response strategies.

The joint initiative between the Indian Army and Indian Railways aimed to establish a robust framework for seamless integration during national emergencies. The coordinated efforts are crucial for ensuring an efficient and unified response during times of national importance and emergency situations. The Northeast Frontier Railway, operating across Northeastern states, West Bengal, and north Bihar, plays a significant role in these collaborative efforts.
