He emphasized the significance of expressing gratitude towards these immortal heroes for safeguarding India’s freedom, sovereignty, and integrity. General Dwivedi underlined the importance of the Constitution on this day, calling it the cornerstone of democracy and a guiding principle for citizens’ rights and responsibilities.
The Army chief also stressed the nation’s journey towards a developed India by 2047, urging everyone to fulfill their duties diligently in constructing a secure and capable nation. He reiterated the armed forces’ dedication to ensuring the country’s security through unwavering vigilance, disaster relief, and nation-building initiatives. General Dwivedi expressed gratitude for the citizens’ support, cooperation, and unity, considering them as vital strengths in this collective endeavor.
In a separate development, the Indian Army shared a video showcasing the preparations for Republic Day, highlighting the military’s prowess and discipline. The video depicted various contingents rehearsing meticulously, symbolizing the Indian Army’s precision and commitment. The upcoming parade will feature six marching contingents, including the newly formed Bhairav units specializing in swift and border operations.
Moreover, a special group of animals from the Indian Army’s Remount & Veterinary Corps will participate in the parade, featuring Bactrian camels, Zanskar ponies, birds of prey, Indian-breed Army dogs, and traditional military dogs. The parade is set to exhibit a display of advanced weaponry and a structured battle array format of the Indian armed forces.
