Director General of Indian Coast Guard Paramesh Sivamani led the 138th Offshore Security Coordination Committee meeting in Ahmedabad. Representatives from various agencies attended the meeting, emphasizing the commitment to safeguard India’s offshore assets. Sivamani highlighted the importance of energy security and protecting offshore assets for national growth. The Offshore Security Coordination Committee, established in 1978, plays a crucial role in shaping security policies related to offshore defense areas.
In a separate event, the Coast Guard bid farewell to retiring officers, acknowledging their dedicated service in safeguarding the nation’s maritime boundaries. Director General Sivamani praised the veterans for their commitment and organized sessions on financial planning and health management for a smooth transition into retirement.
