The Indian Embassy in Russia recently organized an Indian Mango Festival at the Indian Summer Bazaar, showcasing popular varieties like Chausa, Dasheri, and Langra mangoes to Russian markets. This initiative aims to introduce the renowned ‘King of Fruits’ to Russian consumers and make it a household favorite.
During the event, Indian Ambassador to Russia, Vinay Kumar, inaugurated the Summer Charity Bazaar 2026, a collaborative effort by the Indian Women’s Association and the Embassy of India in Moscow. The ceremony included traditional rituals like lamp lighting and an address by Ambassador Vinay Kumar, marking the beginning of the celebrations.
As part of a tribute to the Indian government’s ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ initiative, Ambassador Vinay Kumar and the president of the Indian Women’s Association, Iona Sinha, participated in a ceremonial tree plantation at the Embassy of India in Moscow. This symbolic gesture underscores the importance of environmental conservation and sustainability efforts.
