The popular singing reality show, Indian Idol, is gearing up to honor the musical legend, late Asha Bhosle. A recent promo released by the show’s host channel featured Sudesh Bhosle reminiscing about his cherished moments with the iconic singer. Sudesh Bhosle, a renowned playback singer known for his mimicry skills, shared anecdotes from his experiences with Asha Bhosle during a candid interaction on the show.
In a heartwarming conversation, host Aditya Narayan probed Sudesh Bhosle about the longstanding rumor of him being Asha Bhosle’s son. Sudesh recalled an incident from 1986 when they performed together in Hong Kong for an RD Burman–Asha Bhosle night. Despite the audience mistaking Sudesh as Asha’s son, she clarified that they only shared the same surname, not a mother-son relationship.
Sudesh emotionally revealed how Asha Bhosle once introduced him as her son during a show abroad, leading to misunderstandings that deeply hurt her. Despite denying the mother-son link in interviews, Sudesh expressed regret over unintentionally causing Asha Bhosle pain. Their bond strengthened after a heartfelt conversation where Asha acknowledged Sudesh as her son, bridging the emotional gap between them.
Sudesh Bhosle, with a career spanning over three decades in the music industry, has lent his voice to several iconic Bollywood songs, including hits like ‘Jumma Chumma De De’ from Hum (1991) and ‘Meri Makhna Meri Soniye’ from Baghban.
