Union Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margherita recently met with Vanuatu’s Prime Minister Jotham Napat in Port Vila. The leaders discussed enhancing cooperation between India and Vanuatu across various sectors. They both emphasized their mutual dedication to the progress and well-being of their people.
During the visit, Margherita also engaged with Xavier Emanuel Harry, Vanuatu’s Acting Minister for Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and External Trade. They explored avenues to strengthen bilateral ties in different areas. Margherita reiterated India’s commitment to supporting Vanuatu’s development initiatives and being a dependable partner.
Moreover, Margherita visited the Centre of Excellence in Information Technology in Vanuatu, which was established with India’s assistance. He highlighted the institution as a symbol of the growing friendship between India and Vanuatu. This visit marks Margherita’s first official trip to Vanuatu, aimed at fostering the longstanding relationship between the two nations.
