Indian-origin golfers Sudarshan Yellamaraju and Sahith Theegala encountered difficulties at the Genesis Scottish Open in North Berwick, Scotland. Due to sea fog causing delays, a substantial part of the field couldn’t finish the third round. Play is scheduled to resume on Sunday morning.
Sudarshan Yellamaraju, positioned well after strong initial rounds, struggled on Saturday, ending the day tied for 17th. Sahith Theegala, supported by Hero, faced a tough day with only one birdie amid cold and damp conditions, dropping to tied-64th. The leaders, Matt Fitzpatrick and Michael Thorbjornsen, shared the top spot at 11-under when play was suspended.
The competition remained close, with the top 15 players separated by just three strokes. American Johnny Keefer led the clubhouse at 10-under, joined by other contenders still with holes to play. Rory McIlroy, initially in the lead, faced setbacks but remained within five shots of the leaders.
