Reigning world champion Samrat Rana and World Cup final winner Suruchi Singh teamed up to win silver in the 10m air pistol mixed team event at the Asian Rifle/Pistol Championship in New Delhi. India continued its dominance with a total of 10 gold, five silver, and one bronze medal after two days of competition. Southpaw Rashmika Sahgal, Vanshika Chaudhary, Priyanshi Purva, and Chahek Kohla also contributed to India’s success with impressive performances in various categories.

Uzbekistan managed to secure a gold in the 10m air pistol mixed team event through Nigina Saidkulova and Mukhammad Kamalov, outscoring the Indian pair in a close final. Despite India’s strong showing in the qualification round, Uzbekistan’s exceptional performance in the final led them to victory. Chinese Taipei claimed the bronze medal in this event.

In the women’s junior and youth categories, Indian shooters continued their winning streak with Rashmika Sahgal, Vanshika Chaudhary, Priyanshi Purva, and Chahek Kohla clinching top positions. The Indian teams also excelled in the team competitions, securing additional gold medals in the junior women’s air pistol and women’s youth air pistol team events.

The competition will progress with mixed team pistol events and men’s 10m air rifle finals scheduled for the upcoming days, promising more thrilling contests at the championship.
