External Affairs Minister S. During discussions with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Jaishankar underscored the ongoing strategic coordination and engagement between India and the United States across various sectors. Jaishankar detailed India’s commitment to diplomacy, lawful conduct, economic resilience, and global partnerships, outlining the country’s position on conflict resolution, maritime trade, international law adherence, market share weaponization, and the value of resilient partnerships. He also mentioned discussions with Rubio on global and regional developments, including West Asia, the Indian subcontinent, East Asia, and the Caribbean region. The upcoming Quad meeting on May 26 will address recent developments in the Gulf, the Ukraine conflict, and Indo-Pacific issues.
