India’s Richa Ghosh has been honored with the Impact Fielder medal for her outstanding performance in the T20I series against England, which concluded with a 2-1 defeat for India as they prepare for the upcoming Women’s T20 World Cup.
Fielding coach Munish Bali commended Richa’s exceptional glovework and consistency behind the stumps while presenting her with the medal. Bali praised Richa for her three catches and two excellent stops, declaring her as the best impact fielder of the series.
Bali also lauded India’s overall fielding performance, highlighting their positive display in throwing, body language, effort, and an impressive 87 percent catching rate. He specifically mentioned Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, and Nandni Sharma for their exceptional fielding contributions during the series.
India is set to play warm-up matches against West Indies and England on June 8 and 10 in Cardiff before kicking off their Women’s T20 World Cup campaign against Pakistan in Birmingham on June 14.
