India’s women’s cricket team achieved a historic victory in their first-ever Test match at Lord’s, defeating England by 270 runs. Former India captain Ajinkya Rahane praised Harmanpreet Kaur’s team for their remarkable performance at the Home of Cricket. Off-spinner Sneh Rana’s 4-42 and Deepti Sharma’s 2-36 were instrumental in India’s win as they bowled out England for 186 while defending a target of 457.

The victory marked India’s seventh win in the last 11 women’s Tests and maintained their unbeaten record in red-ball cricket on English soil. Vice-captain Smriti Mandhana, Yastika Bhatia, Richa Ghosh, and Kranti Gaud delivered standout performances during the match, with Bhatia becoming the first woman to score a century in a Test at Lord’s.
