Inter Miami CF secured a 3-2 victory over New York City FC, extending their unbeaten streak to four games in the MLS regular season. Goals from defenders Gonzalo Lujan and Micael, along with a strike from captain Leo Messi, propelled Inter Miami to success at Yankee Stadium. Luján opened the scoring in the 4th minute, seizing a rebound and netting his first career goal for the team.

New York City FC equalized in the 17th minute with a goal from Nicolás Fernandez. Despite Messi’s attempts hitting the post twice in the first half, the score remained 1-1. The home team took the lead in the 59th minute through a goal from Agustin Ojeda.

Messi equalized for Inter Miami in the 61st minute with a free-kick goal, bringing his tally to four for the season. Micael then scored the winning goal in the 74th minute with a header, assisted by Allen. Inter Miami’s defense held firm, with key blocks from Ayala and a crucial save by St. Clair securing the 3-2 victory.
