As part of preparations for the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) in Rajkot, a district-level Vibrant Gujarat programme in Junagadh led to the signing of 218 memoranda of understanding (MoUs) totaling investments worth Rs 1,209 crore. The event aimed at accelerating industrial development and creating job opportunities in the district.
The programme, chaired by Gujarat Social Justice and Empowerment Minister and Junagadh district in-charge Pradyuman Vaja, brought together industrialists, young entrepreneurs, sector experts, and officials to explore investment opportunities across various sectors. MoUs were signed in areas such as healthcare, education, tourism, infrastructure, agro-processing, engineering, minerals, and mining.
According to event details, investments included 102 MoUs in agro and food processing sectors worth around Rs 281 crore, 55 MoUs in engineering and technology worth Rs 144 crore, 41 MoUs in minerals and mining worth Rs 403 crore, as well as investments in tourism and infrastructure projects. The proposed investments are expected to boost employment opportunities and enhance Junagadh’s presence in national and global markets.
