Iran’s main military command, Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, clarified that the country’s armed forces have not conducted any missile or drone operations against the United Arab Emirates in recent days. The Headquarters spokesman, Ebrahim Zolfaghari, emphasized that if Iran had engaged in such actions, they would have openly declared it. He dismissed a report from the UAE accusing Iran of launching drone and missile assaults, cautioning UAE officials against falling into what they described as a trap set by the United States and Israel.
Zolfaghari urged UAE officials to refrain from launching a “media invasion” against Iran and making baseless accusations. He pointed out that the UAE serves as a significant base for the United States and Israel in the West Asia region, hosting a substantial portion of their troops and military equipment. Iran, he stated, has shown restraint in response to the UAE’s media campaign and support for what they termed as the enemies of the Muslim world, solely for the security of the UAE’s people. However, he warned that any actions originating from the UAE’s territory against Iranian islands and coasts would be met with a strong and regretful retaliation.
Following the UAE’s claim of renewed missile and drone attacks by Iran, including an incident at the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone that reportedly injured three Indian nationals, Iranian state TV IRIB, citing a military source, refuted any preplanned intention to target oil facilities. Instead, they attributed the situation to what they termed as “US military adventurism,” creating conditions that allowed vessels to pass through restricted areas of the Strait of Hormuz.
