Iran’s main military command, Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, cautioned that any US assault on Iranian power plants and bridges would result in a severe response affecting infrastructure across West Asia. This warning follows Iranian forces striking US bases in Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan. US President Donald Trump had previously mentioned plans to target Iran’s power plants and bridges if Tehran does not agree to negotiations.
Ebrahim Zolfaghari, the spokesman for the headquarters, delivered the warning through a video message broadcasted by Iranian media in response to Trump’s threats. Zolfaghari emphasized that Iran’s armed forces would respond with a more severe and devastating blow if the US proceeds with attacking Iranian infrastructure. The Iranian military’s retaliation targeted US bases and facilities in Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan in response to recent attacks by the US on locations in southern Iran.
The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that its naval and aerospace forces conducted joint missile and drone attacks on US targets. The IRGC reported the destruction of various US facilities, including a C-RAM radar system, a satellite communications center, and an assembly site at Kuwait’s Ali Al Salem Air Base. Additionally, they hit a fighter jet ramp and a command center at Jordan’s al‑Azraq base, and a wharf at Kuwait’s Shuaiba Port. The Iranian Army also deployed drones to target US radar systems, a Patriot battery, and oil depots at Ali Al Salem, as well as communications and radar facilities at Bahrain’s Shaikh Isa Air Base.
Hossein Mohebi, the IRGC spokesman, warned that Iran’s operations aim to destroy US offensive infrastructure in West Asia. Despite a peace memorandum of understanding signed on June 18, clashes between Iran and the US have persisted in recent days, with both sides scheduled for negotiations within 60 days.
