A top Iranian military adviser has cautioned that Iran will enter an “offensive and destructive” phase if the United States persists with the war for another few days. Mohsen Rezaei, military adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader, stated that Iran’s armed forces will no longer limit themselves to retaliatory strikes if US attacks continue, making US bases and forces unsafe. Iran has exercised restraint to prevent the conflict from escalating regionally and internationally, accusing the US of misjudgment.
Rezaei emphasized that Iran will enhance its military capabilities, including ground forces, if the US continues its anti-Iran actions, leading to an expanded scope of the conflict. He urged regional countries like Kuwait, Jordan, UAE, and Qatar to help prevent further escalation. Iran has already responded heavily to US attacks, with plans to intensify military operations in the near future, including missile and drone attacks.
In a separate incident, Iranian forces targeted a vessel in the Strait of Hormuz for violating regulations. The vessel, flagged as Thai, attempted to cross the strait without proper permissions from Iran’s Navy and disregarded warnings. The US military has conducted multiple strikes on Iran’s southern provinces in response to Iranian forces targeting vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, aiming to diminish Iran’s ability to threaten commercial shipping. In retaliation, Iran has launched missile and drone attacks on US military bases in the region.
