Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu refuted claims that Israel was surprised by the US’s diplomatic actions towards Iran, emphasizing his regular communication with President Donald Trump for coordination. Netanyahu disclosed ongoing contact with US officials, highlighting a scheduled phone call with Trump. Israel remains prepared for various scenarios regarding Iran, aligning its objectives with the US, particularly emphasizing the removal of enriched material from Iran. Israeli authorities have expressed support for potential strikes on Iran, citing concerns over its nuclear capabilities and missile arsenal.

Trump recently issued a stern warning to Iran, urging acceptance of a peace deal or facing intensified military action. Despite signaling progress in negotiations with Iran, Trump reiterated the non-negotiable stance on Iran possessing nuclear weapons. Dismissing claims of Iranian defiance, Trump emphasized the necessity for Iran to never acquire nuclear arms. Trump also asserted significant damage to Iran’s military infrastructure during the conflict, claiming destruction of naval assets, aircraft, and missile systems. While Trump hinted at the possibility of diplomacy, he maintained a strong stance against Iran’s military resurgence post-conflict.
