Major General (Retd) Amir Baram, Director General at Israel’s Ministry of Defence, visited New Delhi and met with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. During the meeting, Baram expressed Israel’s commitment to strengthening defence cooperation within the framework of the Special Strategic Partnership between the two countries.
The Defence Minister’s Office shared that Baram briefed Singh on Israel’s dedication to expanding the defense collaboration under the India-Israel Special Strategic Partnership. The meeting was also attended by Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh, Israel’s Ambassador to India Reuven Azar, and other officials.
Ambassador Azar expressed gratitude to Singh for hosting Baram and highlighted the joint projects being developed by Israel and India to enhance their partnership further. In response to a post by the Defence Minister’s Office, Azar acknowledged the efforts in creating unique projects to strengthen the Israel-India relationship.
India’s Ambassador to Israel, J P Singh, reiterated India’s commitment to bolster the Special Strategic Partnership during a meeting with Israeli President Isaac Herzog. The meeting took place during an event commemorating Israel’s 78th Independence Day, where warm greetings from the Indian leadership were extended to President Herzog.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu previously agreed to elevate their countries’ ties to a Special Strategic Partnership during PM Modi’s visit to Israel. The leaders discussed enhancing cooperation in various areas, including establishing a Critical and Emerging Technologies Partnership to accelerate collaboration in futuristic domains.
