Ivanka Trump, daughter of US President Donald Trump, was reportedly targeted by a terrorist trained by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in retaliation for the killing of General Qasem Soleimani in Baghdad in January 2020. The terrorist, Mohammad Baqer Saad Dawood Al-Saadi from Iraq, allegedly obtained a floor plan of Ivanka’s Florida residence with intentions to harm her.
Al-Saadi, who is associated with Shiite militias Kata’ib Hezbollah and the IRGC, was arrested in Turkey and extradited to the US. The US Department of Justice has charged him with planning or coordinating numerous attacks in Europe and North America against US and Jewish targets.
According to reports, Al-Saadi posted threats on social media against the Trump family and American secret services, along with a map of Ivanka’s residential area. He is currently in solitary confinement at the Metropolitan Detention Centre in Brooklyn.
