Raj Babbar, born on June 23, 1952, is a National School of Drama graduate who began his acting career with ‘Kissa Kursi Ka’ and later found success in both Hindi and Punjabi cinema. Known for his roles in movies like ‘Insaaf Ka Tarazu’, ‘Nikaah’, and ‘Aaj Ki Awaaz’, he is also recognized for his personal life, being married to theatre personality Nadira Babbar and having two children, Juhi Babbar and Arya Babbar.
Raj Babbar’s relationship with late actress Smita Patil was widely covered in the 1980s. He is also the father of actor Prateik Smita Patil from his union with Smita Patil. Recently, Raj Babbar appeared in the TV series ‘Happy Family: Conditions Apply’ as Mansukhlal Dholakia.
