Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy criticized the state’s coalition government for failing to fulfill its election promises, labeling it as a betrayal to the youth. He expressed concern over the government’s actions, stating that they are jeopardizing the future of both the youth and the state.
On the occasion of Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary, Jagan Mohan Reddy used the platform to criticize the TDP-led NDA government’s policies towards the youth. He emphasized the importance of empowering the youth to strengthen India, echoing Swami Vivekananda’s beliefs.
Highlighting specific issues, Jagan Mohan Reddy pointed out that the government has not disbursed payments for eight quarters of fee reimbursement and has outstanding amounts under the Vidya Deevena and Vasathi Deevena schemes. He also noted the non-payment of the promised Rs 3,000 monthly unemployment allowance for the past two years and the discontinuation of online certification courses.
Demanding accountability, Jagan Mohan Reddy urged the Chandrababu Naidu government to support and enable the youth to pursue their aspirations, emphasizing the importance of fulfilling manifesto commitments to avoid betraying the trust of the younger generation.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, on the other hand, paid homage to Swami Vivekananda on his birth anniversary, praising the inspirational impact the spiritual leader had on India’s youth. He highlighted the significance of National Youth Day in upholding Swami Vivekananda’s ideals of instilling confidence, courage, and a sense of service among the country’s young population.
