Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor (L-G) Manoj Sinha, at the “Sahitya Sanskriti Samagam” literary-cultural conclave, emphasized the importance of preserving Jammu’s rich heritage. He highlighted the region’s traditions in literature, culture, and spirituality that transcend divisions of caste and creed, promoting unity and humanity.
Sinha praised Jammu University for its efforts in upholding and promoting the cultural ethos of the region, positioning it among the top universities in the country. He stressed that the society shaped by Jammu’s literary and cultural wealth plays a crucial role in defining the collective identity and future prospects of the region.
The L-G urged individuals to engage with the festival of literature and culture to rediscover their true identity and sense of belonging. He emphasized the significance of folk arts and literature in preserving Jammu’s cultural vitality, calling upon the youth to embrace and serve the legacy of literature and culture for future generations.
