In Bihar, the ruling Janata Dal (United) has urged for an extension of the ongoing crackdown on land mafia to investigate the land holdings of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav. JD(U) spokesperson Neeraj Kumar made this request to Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, who oversees the Revenue and Land Reforms portfolio.
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha assured that the state’s campaign against the land mafia would persist without bias. He mentioned that if JD(U) leaders formally request it during his public interaction program, the government would look into the land holdings of the former Chief Minister.
Neeraj Kumar has been highlighting the issue of Lalu Prasad Yadav’s land ownership in Patna and other parts of Bihar amidst the Rabri Devi Bungalow controversy. Meanwhile, Vijay Sinha has been leading a vigorous crackdown on land mafia, brokers, and colluding officials, instilling a sense of fear among wrongdoers.
As part of his efforts, the Deputy Chief Minister has conducted public interaction programs in various cities, addressing land-related grievances and taking immediate action on many cases. This proactive stance has led to disciplinary actions against negligent officials and stirred unease among corrupt elements within the department.
Despite facing pressure from some officials seeking intervention, Vijay Sinha remains resolute in his commitment to combat land-related corruption and uphold the ongoing drive without compromise.
