The Janata Dal(United) has proudly announced surpassing the one-crore member mark in its ongoing organizational expansion campaign. Sanjay Jha, the party’s national working president, revealed that the membership drive, initiated by Nitish Kumar on December 6, 2025, successfully enrolled 1,00,01,925 members by June 2, 2026.
Sanjay Jha took to social media to extend his congratulations to party workers for their dedication in conducting the campaign up to the booth level. He also expressed gratitude to the people of Bihar for their unwavering support. The party’s commitment remains focused on serving the Bihar community and fulfilling the aspirations of its citizens under Nitish Kumar’s guidance.
The JD(U)’s membership campaign, part of a broader organizational plan spanning from 2025 to 2028, is viewed by party leaders as a significant stride towards their goal of becoming one of the state’s leading political entities by 2028. Recent electoral successes have marked a notable revival for the party, with substantial seat wins in both state and national elections.
Party leaders attribute much of this growth to the efforts initiated after Sanjay Jha assumed the role of National Executive President. With the party now crossing the one crore-member milestone, it solidifies its position among Bihar’s largest political organizations, amidst increasing competition from other major parties in the state.
