As students across the country prepared to take the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2026, they experienced a mix of anxiety and hope while waiting to enter exam centers. These aspirants had dedicated hours to studying for this national-level exam required for admission to engineering colleges. To qualify for the Advanced exam, candidates must first pass the JEE Main examination.
In different parts of India, students shared their aspirations and fears before the exam. A student in Ahmedabad aiming for IIT Delhi expressed nervousness but also confidence in the hard work invested over two years. Another student in pursuit of aeronautics engineering at IIT Bombay mentioned rigorous study routines from early morning till evening.
Outside an exam center in Rajkot, a student named Jay, who performed well in JEE Mains, hoped for a similar outcome in the Advanced exam to pursue civil engineering. Priyanshi, aspiring for civil engineering as well, credited her daily ten-hour study routine and parental support for her confidence in achieving success. Rajesh, supported by farmer parents, dedicated long hours to fulfill his dream of becoming an engineer.
Parents also played a significant role in motivating students. A student, inspired by his father who runs a tuition center, aimed to become a software engineer. Meanwhile, parents outside exam centers expressed concerns about the pressure their children faced, with late-night study sessions and early mornings being a common routine. They urged authorities to prevent paper leaks like the alleged NEET-UG 2026 incident to avoid student suicides due to wasted efforts.
