The J&K State Investigation Agency (SIA) has submitted a chargesheet in a significant terrorist conspiracy case known as the ‘Doctors Terror Module.’ This case involves ten individuals linked to provocative posters associated with the banned group Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) that emerged in the Nowgam area on October 19, 2025. The posters aimed to create fear, disrupt public order, and challenge India’s sovereignty.
A detailed investigation by the SIA uncovered that the poster campaign was part of a larger conspiracy to revive the proscribed outfit Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGuH). The accused operated a secret module focused on radicalization, recruitment, and planning terror attacks nationwide. The group exploited JeM’s name to create a psychological impact while covertly working to re-establish AGuH.
The chargesheet highlighted that the accused, including educated individuals and medical professionals, misused their knowledge and resources for illicit activities. They spread extremist content online and acquired materials for making explosives, including within Al-Falah Medical College premises. The group identified Triacetone Triperoxide (TATP) as a preferred explosive material due to its easy availability.
Officials emphasized the seriousness of the conspiracy, noting the potential catastrophic consequences if not intercepted in time. The SIA dismantled the entire network through a thorough investigation supported by recoveries, digital analysis, scientific evidence, and witness testimonies. The chargesheet lists individuals involved in the conspiracy, including one who was killed in the Red Fort suicide attack.
The case underscores the evolving nature of terrorist plots, involving the misuse of professional institutions and digital platforms. The SIA reaffirmed its dedication to counter-terrorism efforts, emphasizing the importance of ongoing vigilance and collaborative actions. Ongoing investigations continue to delve into the matter.
