Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah praised the Army and civil administration for their quick response in rescuing tourists stuck in Gulmarg due to a helicopter malfunction. The Chief Minister highlighted the efficient coordination among all agencies involved in the rescue operation, ensuring the tourists’ safety.

Abdullah directed the administration to enhance safety measures to provide a secure experience for tourists and prevent similar incidents. He emphasized the government’s commitment to protecting tourists and maintaining safety standards in all tourist destinations across Jammu and Kashmir.

As summer tourism picks up in Kashmir with rising temperatures, efforts are being made to restore confidence among tourists following past security challenges. Abdullah’s proactive engagement with stakeholders and visits to promote tourism reflect a positive response from tourists, showing trust in the region’s hospitality.
