Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha praised the bravery of the armed forces on the occasion of Operation Sindoor’s anniversary. He emphasized the valor displayed by the Armed Forces during the operation, which was a response to an attack on innocent civilians in Pahalgam.
Operation Sindoor symbolizes the commitment of the armed forces to safeguard the nation’s sovereignty and integrity at all costs. It stands as a testament to India’s determination to eliminate terrorism and ensure a secure environment in Jammu and Kashmir. Following a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Prime Minister Narendra Modi authorized retaliatory strikes by the Indian armed forces on terror infrastructure in Pakistan.
In response to escalating tensions, Pakistan targeted military and civilian sites along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir. Subsequently, India conducted strikes on Pakistan’s defense installations, leading to the suspension of the Indus Water Treaty of 1960. Operation Sindoor, although currently paused, underscores the ongoing efforts to address security challenges in the region.
