Joint forces conducted an operation in Wuyan Khrew area of Pulwama district, resulting in the arrest of a terrorist associate named Javid Ahmad Hajam. The forces, including Awantipora police, 185 battalion of CRPF, and 50 Rashtriya Rifles, seized arms and ammunition from him, including a pistol and live rounds.

Javid Ahmad Hajam, son of Abdul Rashid Hajam from Gulab Bagh Tral, is accused of aiding terrorists by providing logistics support and transporting arms and ammunition in specific areas. The police have registered a case against him under relevant laws and initiated an investigation into the matter.

Security forces in J&K have intensified operations against terrorists, their supporters, and associates to disrupt the support network. Additionally, measures are being taken against drug smugglers and individuals involved in illegal financial activities, suspected to fund terrorism in the region.

Police and security forces are actively engaged in anti-terrorist activities within the region, while the army and BSF are stationed along the LoC and international border to prevent cross-border activities, including infiltration, exfiltration, drug smuggling, and drone operations.
