Singer-songwriter Jon Bon Jovi recently made a comeback to performing after a hiatus following vocal surgery four years ago. He headlined the first of nine sold-out shows at Madison Square Garden in New York City, marking the start of his Forever Tour. Bon Jovi was accompanied by original band members Tico Torres and David Bryan, among others, delivering a 21-song setlist of their greatest hits over a two-hour performance.
The concert commenced with a pre-recorded message from the band, followed by Bon Jovi’s humorous opening with a rendition of the 1967 Beatles classic ‘With a Little Help from My Friends,’ playfully alluding to his past vocal challenges. Throughout the show, he treated the audience to a range of his popular tracks, including “Livin’ on a Prayer,” “It’s My Life,” and “Wanted Dead or Alive.”
Reflecting on his return to live performances, Bon Jovi expressed gratitude and humility, sharing his apprehension about forgetting the experience of a live crowd’s energy after four years. He acknowledged the audience of 20,000 as his personal guests, appreciating their support and love, emphasizing his heartfelt gratitude for their presence.
