Jordan’s air defense systems intercepted eight missiles launched from Iran towards Jordanian territory, as confirmed by a military source. The General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army stated that the interception caused missile debris to fall, but fortunately, there were no casualties or property damage. The armed forces are on high alert to protect Jordan’s airspace and sovereignty.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran claimed responsibility for attacking the US command center in the Middle East and the al-Azraq air base in Jordan using 10 ballistic missiles. The IRGC warned of further attacks on American bases in the region if the US military continues its aggression. The Iranian Foreign Ministry condemned recent US strikes on Iranian regions, labeling them as “flagrant war crimes.”
The ministry criticized the US attacks on bridges in Iran’s northeastern provinces and described them as violations of the United Nations Charter. It accused the US of using these strikes to justify non-compliance with a memorandum of understanding between the two countries aimed at ending hostilities.
