Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K.T. Rama Rao, also known as KTR, urged the immediate removal of Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar. This demand aims to ensure a fair investigation into the POCSO case involving Sanjay’s son, Bandi Bhageerath. KTR criticized the delay in issuing a lookout notice against the accused and emphasized the need for an impartial inquiry.
KTR highlighted the contradiction between Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” initiative and the handling of this case. He expressed concern over the alleged protection of the accused for nine days and questioned the Minister’s role in this matter. KTR insisted that Sanjay’s presence in office hinders a just investigation and called for his immediate removal from the Union Cabinet.
The BRS Working President condemned the misuse of power and influence in sensitive cases, stating that such actions undermine the country’s integrity. He accused Sanjay of intimidating the victim’s family and criticized attempts to downplay the severity of the situation. KTR warned against allowing influential individuals to evade accountability, stressing the importance of transparent and independent investigations.
