Kannada actor Darshan, currently in judicial custody due to a fan’s murder case, observed his 49th birthday in prison on Monday. Despite limited interaction with others, Darshan’s supporters gathered outside his residence in Bengaluru to show their support. Meanwhile, his partner and co-accused, Pavithra Gowda, has sought bail to attend her daughter’s exams.
Darshan’s partner, Pavithra Gowda, filed a bail plea citing her daughter’s exams, which the court is set to consider. The Public Prosecutor has raised objections to the bail application, leading to pending court proceedings. Notably, Darshan, Pavithra Gowda, and others were arrested in June 2024 for the alleged kidnapping and murder of a fan.
Following the submission of a chargesheet and subsequent legal actions, Darshan spent time in custody before being released and rearrested. Facing multiple charges including murder, conspiracy, and kidnapping, Darshan and the other accused have denied the allegations. The legal process continues as the court addresses the charges against them.
