The Karnataka BJP has emphasized its commitment to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, set to take place in February or later. The state party office in Bengaluru hosted a press conference where Karnataka BJP President B.Y. Vijayendra highlighted the party’s plans to prioritize the SIR and raise awareness about the VB-G RAM G scheme.
Vijayendra praised the Election Commission of India’s decision on the Special Intensive Revision, citing its positive impact in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. He also addressed incidents of violence in Ballari, alleging misuse of government machinery by a Congress MLA and emphasizing the need for justice in recent tragic events.
The BJP leader criticized the Congress-led government for its handling of various issues, including a Dalit woman’s murder in Yellapur. He demanded fair compensation for affected families and called for improved governance. The party has been actively engaging in district-level meetings to discuss organizational strategies and prepare for upcoming elections.
Vijayendra accused Congress leaders of spreading misinformation and expressed concerns about the government’s performance. He highlighted the BJP’s efforts to counter propaganda and mobilize support against the ruling party. The party’s core committee discussed launching a people’s movement to address public dissatisfaction and hold the government accountable for its failures.
