Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah greeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi at HAL Airport in Bengaluru for an event at Adichunchanagiri Math. Siddaramaiah presented a five-page memorandum to PM Modi outlining various state-related issues. Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda and Chief Secretary Shalini Rajneesh were also in attendance.
Police beefed up security at Adichunchanagiri ahead of PM Modi’s visit, deploying over 2,000 personnel including senior officers. PM Modi is set to inaugurate Sri Guru Bhairavaikya Mandir at Adichunchanagiri, a significant religious center in Mandya district. Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy welcomed PM Modi’s visit, emphasizing its importance for the region.
PM Modi will travel by Indian Army helicopter to Adichunchanagiri upon arrival, landing at Shrigiri Tapovana helipad. He will then proceed to the Math for religious ceremonies and a stage program. The visit holds political relevance due to the Mutt’s association with the Vokkaliga community, although Kumaraswamy stressed its non-political nature.
