Amidst internal political dynamics, Karnataka’s ruling Congress party, under Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, is gearing up for a grand state-level convention in Tumakuru to commemorate three years in power. Home Minister G. Parameshwara revealed plans for the event, expecting over two lakh beneficiaries to attend, necessitating 4,000 buses for transportation. The convention will showcase government schemes and departmental progress, with benefits to be distributed to attendees.
The event, scheduled for May 20, will witness the participation of numerous ministers, MLAs, and MPs at the Government Junior College grounds in Tumakuru. Parameshwara emphasized meticulous planning for seating, food, and transportation for the large gathering, urging officials to ensure flawless arrangements. District-level officials have been tasked with organizing sub-committees to oversee various event aspects, including stage setup, food arrangements, and exhibition logistics.
In preparation for the convention, officials have been instructed to provide details on project progress, inaugurations, and foundation stone ceremonies to the Public Works Department for necessary arrangements. The Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police, and other officials are actively involved in coordinating the event logistics. As the government nears its third year milestone, speculations on leadership changes continue to loom over the political landscape in Karnataka.
