Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and state Congress President D.K. Shivakumar stated that discussions regarding the Chief Minister’s post in Karnataka involve himself, CM Siddaramaiah, and the party high command, emphasizing that such matters are not for public discourse. Responding to media queries in Delhi, Shivakumar highlighted the confidentiality of party plans and discussions, stating that these are internal matters and not meant for public disclosure. He mentioned that any information to be shared will be done by the party’s general secretaries.
Shivakumar expressed his intention to meet party leaders during his visit to Delhi, refraining from divulging specific details about the agenda. He also mentioned plans to discuss legal issues related to irrigation projects with legal experts and Union Ministers. Amid speculations surrounding his visit and a leadership struggle in the state, Shivakumar aims to have a private meeting with Rahul Gandhi to address the ongoing situation.
The Deputy CM emphasized that meeting Rahul Gandhi is a routine occurrence for him and not a new development, downplaying the significance of their interactions. Regarding his cryptic social media post that sparked speculation, Shivakumar clarified that it should not be overanalyzed. He reiterated that discussions with party leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, are part of the natural process and are not meant for public scrutiny.
