Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and KPCC President, D.K. Shivakumar’s 64th birthday was celebrated across the state with grand events. Congress leaders and supporters organized prayers, cake-cutting ceremonies, and public gatherings, expressing hopes of his future as Karnataka’s Chief Minister. Shivakumar, a strong contender for the CM post, has openly expressed his desire for the role and awaits the Congress high command’s decision.
Special prayers were conducted at the Durgamma Temple in Ballari, where Congress leaders voiced aspirations for Shivakumar’s political ascent. The event, led by Congress MP E.Tukaram and BUDA President Anjaneyalu, featured a 65-kg cake cutting and food arrangements for over 2,000 people. MP Tukaram highlighted the prayers for Shivakumar’s well-being and success, hinting at a resolution to Karnataka’s leadership issues by the Congress high command.
Supporters at the Chamarajeshwara Temple in Chamarajanagar offered prayers for Shivakumar’s political success and higher responsibilities in the state. They performed worship rituals, chanting slogans in favor of him becoming the future Chief Minister. The celebrations also saw Karnataka Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy and other Congress leaders extending birthday wishes to Shivakumar, acknowledging his leadership and contributions to the party and the state government.
