Karnataka’s Home Minister, Priyank Kharge, defended against accusations that a government event in Bengaluru led to some students missing the NEET re-examination. He questioned why thousands of other candidates managed to reach their exam centers on time despite the reported traffic issues caused by the event. Kharge emphasized that the BJP should apologize to students if they are genuinely concerned about their well-being.
Kharge clarified that while three students missed the exam, the government event was not to blame. He highlighted that NEET guidelines require candidates to arrive well before the exam time. The Minister criticized the BJP for politicizing the issue and urged for a logical and responsible approach to the matter rather than seeking political gains.
Accusing the BJP of playing politics, Kharge pointed out similar incidents in other states and questioned if the ruling parties there were also responsible for exam disruptions. He referenced past delays and administrative lapses under the Central government, emphasizing the need for discussions based on facts and reason rather than political rhetoric.
