The Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) is currently reviewing the decision made by the BCCI Ombudsman regarding the disqualification of its Secretary, Santosh Menon, for exceeding the maximum permissible tenure limit. The BCCI Ombudsman upheld a complaint by Dolphin Cricketers, stating that Menon had completed his nine-year term on December 16, 2025.
KSCA President Venkatesh Prasad mentioned that they are carefully examining the order and seeking legal advice to explore all available options under the law. Prasad highlighted a legal discrepancy, pointing out that the state body’s Ombudsman had previously cleared the matter.
Menon assumed the role of KSCA Secretary following the elections led by Venkatesh Prasad’s faction in December last year. Prasad emphasized the importance of upholding the rule of law and ensuring compliance with the legal framework while evaluating the implications of the conflicting orders issued by the KSCA and BCCI Ombudsmen.
