A day after the CPM-led LDF’s loss in the Kerala Assembly polls, Kerala BJP President Rajeev Chandrasekhar criticized the CPM, calling their Marxist ideology “outdated.” Chandrasekhar attributed the defeat of the Left alliance to their lack of an economic vision for the state.
Comparing the CPM’s situation in Kerala to Tripura and West Bengal, Chandrasekhar highlighted that the Marxist ideology fails to offer an economic direction and create job opportunities. He emphasized the shift towards free markets and capitalism in countries like Russia, China, and Vietnam.
Chandrasekhar accused the CPM of governing Kerala without a clear vision, leading to corruption, appeasement, and temple exploitation. He noted a strong anti-CPM sentiment in Kerala, benefiting the Congress-led UDF, which secured a significant victory with 102 seats.
Despite the Congress’s momentum, Chandrasekhar praised the BJP workers for securing three seats in the Assembly, marking a historic win for the party in Kerala. He acknowledged the dedication of the party workers, emphasizing their hard work and contribution to the victories.
