Defending champions Kerala men and Odisha women secured victories in Beach Soccer to maintain their gold medals at the Khelo India Beach Games 2026 in Diu. Kerala men dominated with an 8-2 win against Goa, while Odisha women triumphed over Gujarat with a 2-1 scoreline in the finals. The games, featuring over 1100 participants across eight sports, are being organized by the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu.
Madhya Pradesh surged to the top of the medals tally with two gold medals in Pencak Silat, led by Sarun Sonwane and Mahendra Swami. Haryana followed in second place with a strong performance, accumulating two gold, four silver, and two bronze medals. Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu secured the third spot with two gold, two silver, and four bronze medals.
In other events, Anurag Singh from Uttar Pradesh and Ashmita Chandra from Karnataka clinched the gold medals in the 10km Open Water Swimming competition. Rajasthan emerged victorious in Beach Kabaddi, claiming gold in both the men’s and women’s categories by defeating Haryana teams. Haryana’s Beach Sepaktakraw team also secured a gold, while Bihar triumphed in the men’s Beach Sepaktakraw final.
