Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi advised NDA leaders to focus on grassroots efforts for the upcoming state elections. The NDA Parliamentary Party met to discuss the Union Budget 2026 and the vision for Viksit Bharat 2047 at the Parliament Library Building in New Delhi. Key leaders including PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and others were present at the meeting.
Rijiju highlighted the significance of recent trade agreements under PM Modi’s leadership, emphasizing their potential to benefit the public. He specifically mentioned the India-EU Free Trade Agreement and the trade deal with the United States. These agreements, involving 39 developed countries, aim to enhance cooperation with India.
India recently finalized a trade deal with the United States, marking the second such agreement within ten days. Rijiju praised PM Modi’s efforts in fostering partnerships with developed nations, which he believes will positively impact the lives of Indian citizens. The minister also commended the Prime Minister for his guidance to NDA MPs on maintaining a winning streak through ground-level work and effective policies.
Rijiju criticized the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, for disrupting House proceedings by referencing an article related to the Ladakh standoff. He urged all members to adhere to parliamentary rules and conduct, emphasizing the need for constructive debates. The minister expressed frustration over disruptions caused by Gandhi, stating that such actions hinder productive discussions and waste valuable time.
