Kiren Rijiju Visits Dalai Lama After Knee Surgery

Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju visited the Dalai Lama in New Delhi to check on his health post his recent knee replacement surgery. Rijiju mentioned that the Tibetan spiritual leader is in good spirits and recovering well from the surgery. He sought blessings from the Dalai Lama during the meeting.

The Dalai Lama underwent a successful left knee replacement surgery in New Delhi recently. His personal physician confirmed the surgery’s success and stated that the spiritual leader is steadily recovering under medical supervision. Doctors have reported that his recovery is on track and he is in high spirits.

After a successful left knee replacement surgery, the Dalai Lama is expected to travel to Ladakh for his annual summer stay by the end of June. This visit is part of his tradition to avoid the monsoon season in Dharamshala. The Dalai Lama’s upcoming stay in Ladakh is anticipated to coincide with his 91st birthday on July 6, with celebrations likely to take place there.
