English actor Kit Harington, known for his role as Jon Snow in “Game Of Thrones,” expressed his frustration towards an online petition calling for a remake of the show’s criticized eighth season with “competent writers.” Harington found the petition insulting to the efforts of the show’s creators, David Benioff and D. B. Weiss.

The final season of Game of Thrones faced backlash for its shortened length and storyline decisions. Harington revealed that by the end of the series in 2019, he and the cast were exhausted. He acknowledged that some viewers felt the conclusion was rushed, attributing it to their fatigue.

Harington acknowledged that while everyone is entitled to their opinions, there were storytelling errors towards the end of the series. He admitted that certain creative choices did not resonate well with the audience. The network’s head, Casey Bloys, confirmed that despite the petition’s popularity, they never seriously considered redoing the final season.
