Three-time IPL champions Kolkata Knight Riders have revealed their practice jersey for the upcoming 2026 season, making it the first time the team has launched a training kit for fans to buy. The decision came after a huge positive response to the initial unveiling of the team’s training jersey, prompting thousands of supporters to request its availability for purchase. The newly designed jersey showcases a modern look with a tiger-print design inspired by the Bengal Tiger, symbolizing strength and agility while staying true to the team’s identity. It is now up for sale on the team’s official store.
“The overwhelming reaction from our fans towards the practice jersey was amazing and confirmed the strong bond they have with the brand. The demand for the practice jersey was evident, and we believed it was the right move to make it accessible to everyone. Redesigned in a sophisticated, summer-friendly color scheme and crafted for performance, the Kolkata Knight Riders practice jersey embodies the discipline and intensity that define KKR, providing fans with another avenue to show their support,” stated Binda Dey, CMO of Knight Riders Sports.
Led by veteran Indian opener Ajinkya Rahane, KKR will kick off their IPL 2026 journey against five-time champions Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on March 29. Their first home game will be against 2016 winners Sunrisers Hyderabad at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata on April 2, followed by matches against Punjab Kings and Lucknow Super Giants on April 6 and 9 respectively. Currently, KKR is holding trials during their pre-season camp to finalize replacements for injured pacers Harshit Rana and Akash Deep. Players like Navdeep Saini, Akash Madhwal, Simarjeet Singh, Sandeep Warrier, KM Asif, and Sunil Kumar are participating in the trials to fill the vacant spots in the KKR lineup.
