Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President B.K. Hariprasad criticized the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for allegedly going against the Indian Constitution, secularism, and democracy. He demanded explanations regarding reported meetings between senior RSS leader Ram Madhav and Pakistani officials, raising concerns about the country’s democratic values.
Hariprasad, speaking at a seminar in Bengaluru, emphasized the sacrifices made for India’s freedom and the foundation of the nation’s democratic principles by freedom fighters. He accused the RSS of assigning responsibilities for Bengaluru to Ram Madhav, alleging undisclosed meetings in Colombo and London, including with a former Major General of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence.
Questioning the authorization for these meetings, Hariprasad highlighted the lack of transparency and accountability in these alleged interactions. He also criticized the BJP-led government for its handling of Operation Sindoor, accusing them of misleading the public and withholding information about soldiers who lost their lives during the operation.
The State Congress President stressed the importance of maintaining a strong stance against terrorism and ensuring transparency in government actions. He urged for public awareness and accountability in dealing with sensitive national issues, emphasizing the need to uphold the values of the Indian Constitution and democracy.
